St. Francois County Jail Improvements

(Farmington, MO) The effort to make improvements to the St. Francois County jail continues after Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting. Commissioners discussed the bidding for the project, which should be approved next week. Associate Commissioner, Kary Buckley, says the work would improve the operations of the jail thus making the parkland safer for citizens.

The work will include a medical wing with examining rooms and offices plus an area for detainees who would require some type of medical care as well other improvements. The funds for the work are from the American Rescue Plan Act, or ARPA monies, from the federal government.
