Standoff Unfolds in Desloge

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - A standoff unfolded in the 100 block of South Waller Street in Desloge Thursday. The incident began at around 8 a.m., drawing a significant law enforcement presence.

Officers from the Desloge Police Department, the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are on the scene, as of 1 p.m. The exact circumstances leading to the standoff have not yet been disclosed by authorities.

Residents in the vacinity of the standoff were told to evacuate their homes. Local residents are advised to avoid the area as police continue to manage the situation.
