Ste. Genevieve County Monday Traffic Crash

(Ste. Genevieve County, MO) A woman from Bloomsdale, 53 year old  Tonya K. Grau, is recovering from moderate injuries following a crash between a car and an SUV Monday afternoon in Ste. Genevieve County. According to Troopers with the Highway Patrol the accident took place just before 1 o'clock when 41 year old Joshua R. Heck, of Arnold, attempted to avoid tire debris in the road as he was driving east on Route Y, east of Dietzfelbinger Drive. His car skidded across the center line. Grau, who was driving the SUV west, began to steer to the left to avoid a collision. Heck's car ran partially off the right side of the road and the car crashed into the front of Grau's vehicle. Heck's car then slid off the south side of the highway. Grau was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Heck was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred.
