Suspects arrested in Animal Abuse Case

(St. Francois County, MO) St. Francois County Sheriff, Dan Bullock, is announcing the arrest of suspects in an animal abuse case in St. Francois County. The Sheriff's Department had performed an earlier investigation and deputies were told a Husky on the property, had a tumor in his eye so he was euthanized becuase of the pain it caused. Following the investigation a local family found the Husky alive and turned him over to St. Francois County law enforcement. Bullock says without the help of the family in locating the dog, which provided the necessary proof, the arrest and expected charges, would not be possible. The Humane Society of Missouri was contacted and Stray Rescue of St. Louis is caring for the Husky. According to Stray Rescue's Facebook page they also have the other three dogs that were on the property, in their care. The names of those arrested won't be released until formal charges are filed.
