President Trump warned Iran that it would be "hit very hard," after calling for the country's "unconditional surrender."

President Trump said on social media that Iran will be "hit very hard" on Saturday after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to the country's regional neighbors for retaliatory strikes against Israel and U.S. bases in the Middle East.

Civil rights activist Bernard Lafayette, who helped organize the Selma Voting Rights Movement in the 1960s, died March 5, 2026, at age 85.
