TIF Project Explained at Chamber Luncheon

(Park Hills, MO) The use of a Tax Increment Finance District, or TIF, in Park Hills, for downtown beautification efforts, is being promoted by city officials. It was the focus of a presentation at Tuesday's Park Hills Leadington Chamber monthly luncheon. Park Hills Community Development Director, Rachel St. Pierre, told the crowd the city uses two methods for those who wish to apply for TIF funding.

St. Pierre adds the city allocated $20,000 for the beautification effort with $5,000 available for anyone who's awarded the funding. So far three applicants have been approved leaving just $5,000 available for one more business. Also at the Park Hills Leadington Chamber meeting a presentation was given by Center Stage Investor, Stay Fit Personal Training and it was announced this year's Firecracker Run will be held at night.
