Two Arrested in Washington County Drug Bust

Washington Co., Mo.(KFMO) - A traffic stop on Highway 21 in Washington County led to the discovery of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and two individuals facing charges.

On Wednesday, February 26, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle for speeding. A consent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 110 grams of methamphetamine and 13 grams of fentanyl.

46-year-old Toby S. Dunlap, of Potosi, was charged with two counts of first-degree drug trafficking for methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. Dunlap was taken to the Washington County Jail on a 24-hour hold. 34-year-old Lashonda N. Spurlock, also of Potosi, was charged with two counts of first-degree drug trafficking. She was processed and released at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the case.
