Two Men Charged in Jones Case

(Wahington County, MO) Two men are facing several charges in connection to the death of 18 year old Mikayla Jones who was reported missing May 7th. Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen says Andrew Franklin Pierce and Ethan Civey are charged with abandonment of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and hindering prosecution. Civey was taken into custody by authorities Saturday but as of Sunday night a warrant was still out for Pierce. Jacobsen says the investigation continues and there could be further arrests and charges. Authorities suspect Jones died from an overdose. Her body was found dumped just off highway M between Irondale and Caledonia.
