Voter Turnout for April Election Sees 13.72% Participation

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Voters across the Parkland headed to the polls Tuesday for the April municipal and special elections.

According to local election officials, 5,537 voters cast ballots, representing 13.72% of registered voters in St. Francois County. County Clerk Kevin Engler was dissapointed in the turnout.

Engler mentioned that there was about a 4% increase in turnout compared to last April. He believes that is due to the type of items that were on the ballot.
