Washington County Deputies Respond to Multiple Disturbance Calls, Arrest Made in Shooting Incident

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Washington County deputies were dispatched to four separate disturbance calls Tuesday evening, three of which involved firearms.

One of the incidents escalated when a suspect allegedly fired shots at a family member’s vehicle following a verbal altercation. Deputies arrived on the scene to find a vehicle with bullet holes and spent shell casings nearby. The suspect was located and taken into custody at the scene. After gathering witness statements, investigators obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. During the search, authorities recovered the suspected firearm hidden under the suspect’s bed.

Steven Crossen Jr., of Cadet, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He is currently being held at the Washington County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Officials noted that as warmer weather approaches, there has been an increase in disturbance calls.
