(Washington County, MO) After several court proceedings, over whether or not Republican Challenger, John Jones IV's, name would appear on Tuesday's Washington County election ballot, his name will be there alongside incumbent Democratic Washington County Prosecuting Attorney Joshua E. Hedgecorth. Hedgecorth had originally filed a petition contesting Jones eligibility to run due to not having been a resident of Washington County for 12 months prior to the November election. An appeal from Jones saw the court rule his name could stay on the ballot because the request to have it withdrawn was processed in a manner which failed to comply with the deadlines and procedures of the process set forth by law.
