Wednesday Ste. Genevieve County Crash

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Bloomsdale woman, 20-year-old Ashley A. Mendonsa, suffered serious injuries after she was involved in a one car crash in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday morning at 7:35 a.m.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports indicate Mendonsa was driving south on French Village Road, at Aubuchon, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a sign. The car continued on crashing into an embankment and returning to the road. It spun out of control, ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

A passenger in the car, 22-year-old Ariel A. French of DeSoto, received minor injuries.

They were both taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson at Festus. Mendonsa and French were wearing their seat belts when the crash took place.
