West County Intruder

(Leadwood, MO.) A letter to parents in the West County Schools details an intruder attempted to gain entrance to the West County Elementary building Wednesday. The release states West County elementary School Principal, Laura Bader became aware of the situation when a man tried to get inside the building. He was outside the building banging on a school door. Staff members immediately called 911 and the man was taken into custody and removed from the campus by law enforcement officials. He was allegedly under the influence. The district was on lockdown during the incident and didn't return to normal until all buildings and grounds were checked to be safe.
