Winter Storm Ends Leaving Snow and Ice

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Now that the Winter Storm Warning for the Parkland is over, we can expect no severe weather for now.

Totals of  .5 to 1 inch of ice are being reported from the storm over the weekend along with a half an inch to 3 inches of snow. No additional snow that would have any further impact on the area is predicted for the Parkland until Friday with just a slight chance of snow predicted after noon.

Highs through Wednesday should be in the mid to upper 20's. Starting Thursday, highs will reach over 32 with nearly 40 degrees by Sunday.

The heavy icing of trees has also caused trees to be reported down throughout the Parkland with some still blocking roads Monday morning.

Besides county crews, Missouri Department of Transportation crews are also out attempting to clear roads and highways of the latest snow accumulation.
