Betty Lou Mahurin

Betty Lou Mahurin, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on July 7, 2024, at Southbrook Nursing Center at the age of 88. She was born on October 15, 1935, in Flat River, Missouri, to Willard and Dolly (Barton) Stegall.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Connie (Anthony) Spencer of Farmington and Cindy (Tom) Robbins of Farmington, her grandchildren, Mark Mahurin, Todd (Megan) Theodoro, and Cassy (Matt) Dameron, her great grandchildren, Eli Dameron, Conner Theodoro, Gavin Dameron, Grace Dameron, Sam Mahurin, Keegan Dameron, and Sophia Theodoro, her great great granddaughter, Kenslie Dameron, her brother, Dennis (Cathy) Stegall of Fruitland, her sister-in-law, Thermadean Stegall of Smithton, IL, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Mahurin, her son, Gary Ray Mahurin and her siblings, Norma (the late Darrell) Wann, Carol (the late Jim) Wilbanks, Darrell Stegall, and Ronnie (the late Darlene) Stegall.

Betty and her husband, Billy, owned and operated Mahurin Trucking Company for many years. She was a wonderful woman of God and a prayer warrior who faithfully believed in the word of the Lord. She loved horses but most of all she dearly loved her family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Roger Strange.
