Dr. Dennis Dale Robinson

Dr. Dennis Dale Robinson passed away July 16, 2024 peacefully in his home in Rolla, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife of 43 1/2 years Sheryl Rowland Robinson of Rolla; his two daughters Steph’Annie Wiles and husband Dr. Dustin Wiles of Rolla, Claire Pennington and husband Blake Pennington of Jackson, Tennessee; his son Max Robinson of Flagstaff, Arizona; grandsons Jacob Wiles, Samuel Wiles, Isaac Wiles, Eli Wiles, and Luke Wiles of Rolla; granddaughters Annie Wiles and Charlotte Wiles of Rolla, and Eliza Pennington, Emmie Pennington, Millie Pennington and Lolly Pennington of Jackson, Tennessee.

He is also survived by his sibling Phyllis Speer of Rogers, Arkansas; sister-in-law Beverly Robinson of Colloquia, Tennessee; nieces Alicia Smith, Cara Speer, Brittany Robinson and Julie Dawes; nephews Derek Speer, Rick Robinson and Jay Robinson.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Maxine Robinson of Hillsboro, Missouri, his brother Rick Robinson of Colloquia, Tennessee, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve, Helen Rowland of Christopher, Illinois, his brother-in-law Charles Rowland, Mike Rowland of Christopher, Illinois, and Paul Speer of Rodgers, Arkansas.

Dennis was born July 31, 1949 in Morley Missouri. He graduated from Crystal City High school in 1967. He received his Bachelors of Science at Southeast Missouri State University in 1971 and his Masters of Science from Washington University in 1976. He began teaching at Mehlville Junior High School in St. Louis and continued until 1981. After marrying the love of his life he graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1985. He and Sheryl and two little girls bought Citizen's Chiropractic Center in Park Hills, MO in 1986 where they lived until 1988 before settling in Farmington in 1988 with a baby boy on the way, Max. He moved his chiropractic office to a new location on Westmount Drive in 2002 where he continued to practice until 2017. Dennis was part of numerous organizations in the Mineral Area. More notably was the Fellowship of Christian Athletes where he continued to serve as the regional director with his illness . He was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington, where he taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. He volunteered as a coach of track and field at the high school in the spring. He was a Boy Scout leader and Order of the Arrow member inspiring Max to become an Eagle Scout in 2006. He was a member and officer of the Farmington School Board for 16 years after which he was given the Heartland Hero award for his volunteer work and he was also a friend of the Special Olympics. He will be remembered for all of his volunteering, but most of all for being an unbelievable father, papa and husband, and friend. Dennis will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held this fall in Farmington, Missouri. A date will be announced at a later time.
