With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kiwanis “Connie” Elaine Howard, 71, of Bonne Terre. She passed away peacefully at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of all those who knew and loved her. Born on Sunday, December 14, 1952, in St. Albans, WV, Connie was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a beloved friend to many.
Throughout her life, Connie found joy and solace in the simple pleasures that life had to offer. She took great delight in her church family and cherished her Tuesday bible study sessions. Connie spent many quiet hours engrossed in her favorite books, finding comfort and inspiration within the pages. Above all, her most treasured moments were those spent with her son, Charles "Chuck" Lambert, and her grandson, Charles Dean Lambert Jr. She adored their company and created beautiful memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
Connie had a kind and compassionate spirit and touched the lives of all who knew her. Her warm presence and genuine love will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and community. She found happiness in the simplest of things, from going out to eat to spending quality time with those she held dear.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Thomas, and Francis White; stepfather, Earl White; and first husband, Walter “Wally” Allen Lambert.
She is survived by her loving son, Charles “Chuck” Lambert; grandson, Charles Dean Lambert, Jr.; one sister, Laura Cavanaugh, and husband Kevin.
A Memorial gathering will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 10 AM until service time at 12 PM. Pastor Alan David will be officiating. In honor of Connie, memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
