Larry R. Bingham

Larry R. Bingham, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 82. He was born on September 19, 1941, in Fayette, Illinois, to Earl and Wilma (Andrews) Bingham. Larry was united in marriage to Tillie Arthur on June 24, 1961, in St. Jacob, Illinois.

Larry is survived by his son, Michael (Robin) Bingham; daughter-in-law, Linda Bingham; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kendra, Hannah, Holly, Kellie and Rylee; siblings, Gary (Carol) Bingham, Lowell, (Connie) Bingham, and Carla Salyer. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren and many special friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tillie (Arthur) Bingham; son, Randy Bingham; and a brother, Melvin Bingham.

Larry proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War from 1959 to 1963. During his time as a United States Marine, he received a Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal and two Good Conduct Awards. Larry worked as Pipeline Maintenance at MRT/CenterPoint Energy for more than 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed tractor pulls, camping, mushroom hunting, Nascar, and raising horses.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 12 – 4 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation resumes on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Libertyville Methodist Cemetery with military honors.
