Lula Mae Stroup

Lulu Mae Stroup, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest with her Lord on June 20, 2024, surrounded by her family at her residence at Maplebrook Assisted Living, at the age of 87. She was born on May 20, 1937, in Eastwood, Missouri, to Raymond Oades White and Gretchen (Forrester) White.

Lulu Mae is survived by her son, Steve Stroup; daughter in law, Sherri Stroup; her grandson, Derek and (Emily) Stroup with great grandsons Archie and Ollie Stroup; her granddaughter, Haley (Alex) Saunders; her sister, Anna Marie Simpson; along with nieces, Kathy (Dale) Norrid, Kim (Jeff) Weiss, Karen (Charlie) Pellegrino, Lynn (Clyde) Smothers, Johnna (Eddie) Loos; nephews, Kenny (Jodi) Simpson and Mike (Chris) Mauer; and her sister in law, Mary Lou (Johnny) McNail, along with many other cousins, and family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Lula Mae is preceded in death by her husband Junior C. Stroup and her son David Stroup.

Lula Mae was married to Junior Stroup on April 12, 1958, and enjoyed a wonderful and blessed marriage until his passing in August 2006. They faithfully served their Lord at Delassus Baptist Church since 1961. Lula Mae worked for Medical Arts Clinic in Farmington for 31 years in the Insurance department, with her last position being Insurance Manager. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School during her years at Delassus Baptist, while spending time each summer raising and canning vegetables in their large garden, along with camping and swimming with friends and family. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a true servant's heart and delighted in serving others.

A visitation will be at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington on Tuesday, June 25th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11:00 at Cozean Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Junior and son David at Parkview Cemetery following the funeral service.
