Rhonda Gayle Skiles, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her residence at the age of 53. She was born on May 10, 1971, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to Francis and Geneva (Burt) Nickelson.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Brian Skiles; children, Joseph (Chala) Nickelson, Dakota (Roper) Garrett, McKensie (Harley) Prochnow, Jeremy (Brittany) Nickelson, and Hunter (Lilly) Skiles; grandchildren, Ava, Ahri, Karaline, Nollyn, Jasper, Bruce, Ophelia, Rosalee, Joey, Titus, Bayne, Zaylee, and Jason; her siblings, Carrie Nickelson, Debbie Hill, Kathy (David) Albert and Shelia (Alan) Bunch; and her in laws, Geraldine and Eddie Skiles.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Waylon Smith; and her grandparents. She was also preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.
Rhonda was a team truck driver that traveled nationwide across the United States for 8 years. Outside of truck driving she was also a school bus driver with Potosi R-III School District for 13 years and then worked 5 years in St. Francois County with a few school districts.
In her spare time, Rhonda enjoyed singing karaoke, listening to music, socializing with friends and strangers, thrifting, attending concerts, and spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at the Garrett residence on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 3109 Corcoran Rd. Doe Run, MO 63637, from 3 p.m - 6 p.m. Reception to follow at The Farmington Elks Lodge.
