Robert “Bob” P. White, age, 80, lived a fulfilling life, filled with love, laughter, and hard work. He was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1943, in Bonne Terre to the late James Clarence and Elvada (Nash) White. Bob passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce (Degonia) White; daughter, Jennifer Lynn White; siblings, Carolyn White, Barbara Skaggs, Rick White, Ronald White and Carl White.
Bob dedicated over three decades of service as a laborer at the Wilson Leather Company before retiring. He was a cherished member of the Primrose Baptist Church in Bonne Terre, finding solace and community within its walls. Bob found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was indulging in his love for playing games on his laptop, watching SYFY movies, or experimenting in the kitchen to create new culinary delights. In his younger years, he demonstrated his skilled handiwork through woodworking, crafting swings and fixing things with precision and care.
Bob will be remembered not only for his work ethic and dedication to his family but for his warm heart and creative spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his children, Teresa Crane and husband James Jr., Brenda White, Robert White and wife Melissa; 14 grandchildren, Hannah Henson, Leah Ingram, Sarah Henson, Ethan Ingram, Ryan Ingram, Kayleigh Smith, Jonathan Williams, Megan White, Miranda Papin, Vannessa Fongemie, Kendra White, Logan Skaggs, Dylan Skaggs and Jordan Skaggs; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren on the way; brother, James "Jim" White and wife Niniamay Layaog White; sister, Elizabeth "Beth" White-Lawson along with other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 5 PM until 9 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 9 AM until service time of 11 AM with Rev Randy Murphy to officiate. Interment will follow at Saint Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials, if desired can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
