Russell George Henry Lowery, “Russ” age 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on February 21, 1934, in St. Louis. Missouri, to Louis William and Gladys Lydia (Nobe) Lowery.
On November 10, 1956, in Maryland Heights, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Helen Elizabeth Genthon, she survives at the home.
Other survivors include his two children – Robert (Shirley) Lowery of Perryville, Missouri and Virginia (Robert) Walsh of St. Charles, Missouri; sister – Sandra (Vic) Humphrey of Missouri; nine grandchildren – Michael (Brandi) Lowery, Angilee Lowery, Kristy (Adrian) Crank, Jacob (Leah) Walsh, Nicole Alber, Maggie Allen, Heather (Eric) Wade, Stephanie (Justin) Beinlein, Laura (James) Seabaugh; nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son – Gary Lowery, and sister – Arlene Wenneker.
Russ was an over the road truck driver; his favorite saying was "Just remember, keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down" ; he was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Fredericktown.
A memorial service may be held at a later date.
