Terry David Vandiver of Farmington passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital on July 26, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born December 3, 1951, in St. Louis to the late David Jean Vandiver and Virginia Lee (Henroid) Vandiver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Jeremy Vandiver.
Terry grew up in St. Louis until high school when his parents relocated to Farmington. He was in the Farmington High School graduating class of 1969. At a young age, he joined the family construction business and spent his whole career in residential construction. His favorite pastime and hobby throughout most of his life were remote control helicopters and airplanes. He also owned rental property in Farmington and kept busy with the management of those properties. Terry enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting mushrooms. His family will fondly remember his kind nature and generosity in reaching out to help others. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he loved spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Bloom) Vandiver; a son, Jeff (Crystal) Vandiver; and a step-son, Jason (Kristy) Vandiver; grandchildren, Blake Vandiver, Macey (Preston Barnhouse) Vandiver, Kayla (Jacob Messer) Vandiver; great-grandchildren, Renezamae and Mylah and two more on the way, Shepherd and Kora. Also surviving are his siblings, Donna (Steve) Manz, Allen (Debbie) Vandiver, and Kenny (Janice) Vandiver; his good friend, Dave (Janet) Cosby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 2, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Kevin Kapler officiating.
