Leutkemeyer Says Public Safety is Senate Priority

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri State Senator for the 34th District, and Missouri Senate Majority Floor Leader, Tony Leutkemeyer, is pointing to public safety as a priority for Senators.

According to Leutkemeyer, one part of that is to focus on policies that would help curtail the rise of crime in St. Louis by stopping the mayor, and politicians in city hall, from running the police department as is being done now.

Leutkemeyer says they would also address crime in Kansas City.

Other issues of interest for Missouri Senators during the current session include tax reform and the unification of the Republican caucus in Jefferson City.
