Pharmacy Benefits Manager Bill Still Moving in Legislature

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - The Pharmacy Benefits Manager, or PBM, bill is still active in the Missouri House of Representatives.

The bill's sponsor, and State Representative of the 116th District, Dale Wright, says if it were to become law, the measure would help bring the cost of medical care down, and the effort is gaining national attention as well.

Wright also says certain companies like Expres Scrips, and others, seem to control the pricing for prescription drugs as these companies, as well as some major national retail pharmacies, are owned by insurance companies adding to a possible conflict of interest.
