3 Bonne Terre Residents Killed in Car Accident

(Jefferson County, MO) 3 St. Francois County residents are dead following a 2-car crash in House Springs. It happened just after 10 o'clock last night on Highway 30, just west of Upper Byrnes Mill Road in Jefferson County. That's where the Missouri Highway Patrol says that car being driven by 26-year-old David Thurby of Fenton was headed east - when he failed keep a proper lookout and rear-ended 25-year-old Lacey Newton of Bonne Terre. Both vehicles went off the right side of the road and hit multiple trees. Newton was pronounced dead at the scene, along with 30-year-old Cordell Williams and an unidentified male infant - who were also from Bonne Terre and passengers in Newton's car. Thurby suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South.
