St. Francois County Habitat Fights Scammers

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Habitat for Humanity is fighting scammers who are making Facebook posts stating Habitat will give people, of over 50 years of age, a free roof or free bathroom.

Executive Director of the Habitat group, Linda Dickerson Bell, says those who click on the post are directed to a company that offers a free estimate on what it would cost for them to do the work.

Dickerson Bell adds if you are the victim of this scam be sure to report it to Facebook and your local authorities.
