August Election Constitutional Amendments

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - There are two constitutional amendments on the ballot for the August primary.

St. Francois County Clerk, Kevin Engler, says Amendment 4 would authorize laws dealing with police force funding in Kansas City, while Amendment 1 covers property tax exemption status for childcare locations.

According to Engler, the August primary usually brings out about 25 to 30% of registered voters however with more elected positions on the ballot there could as much as a 50% showing.
