Fine Arts Academy Presents The Sound of Music

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy's presentation of the Sound of Music will have it's opening night Thursday, May 1, 2025.

The story is about Maria, who becomes a Governess to the Von Trapp family in Austria as the Nazis invade the country in World War II.

Executive Director of the Academy, Amanda Dement, says it's a powerful story with wonderful music.

Dement also says the program will be held in the Fine Arts Theater on the Park Hills campus of Mineral Area College.
