Battle of Pilot Knob Canceled

(Iron County, MO.) There will not be a Battle of Pilot Knob Civil War reenactment this year after the cancellation of the event due to concerns over the coronavirus. A post on the Battle of Pilot Knob facebook page reads, "We regret to report that the 2020 Battle of Pilot Knob event has been canceled due to the Pandemic. Hopefully the event will be rescheduled to 2021. We will update this page as more information becomes available."  This is the 156th anniversary of the battle and usually the event would feature the battle reenactment fought man to man and musket to musket from the Iron County Courthouse to Fort Davidson at the Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site at Pilot Knob. The event was set to take place September 25th and 26th.
