Be Ready for Winter Driving

(Park Hills, MO) It's always a good idea to plan ahead when bad winter weather is expected. The Missouri Highway Patrol's Corporal Dallas Thompson, says just simply slowing down is one of the most important things you can do.

According to Thompson you should also carry a winter weather emergency kit. The kit should include things like blankets, flashlights, power blocks for recharging cell phones and other devices, bottled water, food like granola bars, and clothes like boots and gloves. Jumper cables and some kind of traction producing grit, like sand or ashes, are also good ideas.
