Bicycle Crash in Farmington

(Farmington, MO) A bicyclist from Farmington, 36 year old Jacob M. Hays, is recovering from serious injuries after crashing into a car in Farmington Thursday afternoon.

According to an accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Farmington woman, 32 year old Gina L. Valadez, was driving a car south on West Karsch Boulevard, east of Potosi Street, at 12:30 p.m. Hays' bicycle struck the right side of Valadez's car.

Hays was flown to St. Louis University Hospital. He was not wearing a safety device when the wreck happened.
