Big River Chautauqua Presents Kennedy Tonight

(Bonne Terre, MO) The Big River Chautauqua begins tonight in the big white tent behind Bonne Terre City Hall. The Chautauqua presents historical reenactments of prominent figures from history and this year's theme is "The Times they are a Changing'". Tonight's show features historical actor Jeremy Meier as 1960's politician Robert F. Kennedy. who was assassinated in 1968 as he was running for the Democratic nomination to run for the Presidency. Meier, who spoke at a special preview of Chautauqua last night in Bonne Terre, says Kennedy is still a compelling figure to this day.

The Big River Chautauqua will feature singer Mama Cass Elliot Friday night and civil rights activist Rosa Parks Saturday evening. Gates open at 5:30 each evening with food available. The entertainment begins at 6 o'clock each night with music from guitarist Darin Thomas and other artists as well. Historic performances start at 7:30 each night.
