Big River Chautauqua Wednesday Preview

(Boone Terre, MO) A special preview of this year's Big River Chautauqua will be presented by the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce Wednesday night. The Chautauqua presents historical reenactments of prominent figures from history. The Executive Director of the Chamber, Leigha Head, says you can see and hear historical actors recreate the 1960's characters of politician Robert F. Kennedy, singer Mama Cass, and civil rights activist, Rosa Parks as they focus on that period of our nation's history.

The theme of this year's Big River Chautauqua is "The Times They Area a Changin". The event takes place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in the big white tent behind Bonne Terre City Hall. Gates open at 5:30 each evening with food available. The entertainment begins at 6 o'clock each night with music from guitarist Darin Thomas and other artists as well. The evening's main historic performances start at 7:30 with Robert F. Kennedy Thursday night, Mama Cass Elliot will appear Friday night, while civil rights Rosa Parks will be featured Saturday evening.
