Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington Police Department and Missouri Conservation were busy over the weekend as a black bear was seen roaming the Farmington area.
According to Lt. Ryan Barron, with the Farmington Police Department, the bear was first seen Saturday morning.
The bear then crossed H Highway, close to Engler Park. Later Saturday evening, the bear was back in the McIlvane neighborhood, where authorities and the Missouri Department of Conservation continued to try to move the bear along.
Barron says if you see a bear, do not come in contact with the bear. You will need to call authorities, and they will come out and try to move the bear along.
