Bob Monks Announces Candidacy for Desloge Mayor

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Local business owner Bob Monks has officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of Desloge, according to a press release sent out on Tuesday.

Monks, a Desloge native and a graduate of North County High School, claims in the release that he is running on a platform of "common-sense leadership" and a "commitment to bridging the divide between city government and its citizens." In addition, Monks' campaign is focused on working with the Desloge Board of Aldermen in the best interest of the city, working efficiently and effectively with city leaders and their departments, and planning and building infrastructure to promote growth and business development in the area.

The election is to be held April 8th, along with other municipal elections.
