Body Discovered at Doe Run

(Doe Run, MO) A press release form the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department indicates an investigation has begun into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body near the intersection of Chalk Hill Road and Highway 221 at Doe Run. The body was discovered by an area resident late Tuesday morning. Initial indications suggest the remains have been at this location for several months. The identity of the deceased is not being released, pending notification of family members. An autopsy is scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
