Bonne Terre Sewer Bond for Repairs

(Bonne Terre, MO) Bonne Terre city officials are looking into bond issue to repair the city's sewer system. The City Administrator of Bonne Terre, Shawn Kay, says they were going to do the work through a grant with the Department of Natural Resources over 17 years however, bonding the work would get it done now.

Kay says the work would include relining all the lines and manholes in the city to keep inflow and infiltration out of the system. According to Kay the system was installed when clay pipes were used. The old system would be relined inside with fiberglass.
