Bonne Terre Woman Injured in Wreck

(St. Louis, MO) A woman from Bonne Terre, 40 year old Kara A. Wilkinson, is recovering from Moderate injuries after she was injured in a two vehicle accident just before 4 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Louis County. Reports from the Highway Patrol show an SUV driven south on Interstate 55 at Butler Hill Road, by 43 year old Johhny R. Shoopman, also of Bonne Terre, ran off the right side of the highway and crashed into a guardrail. A car headed south, driven by 34 year old Justin W. Nansel of Arnold, struck debris from the accident. Wilkinson was a passenger in Shoopman's SUV. She was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Everyone was wearing a seat belt when the wreck occurred. Shoopman and Nansel were not injured.
