BREAKING NEWS!!! Alternative School Lock Down Over

(Fredericktown, MO) No injuries are reported after a student attempted what authorities are calling a "self harm action" at the Fredericktown Alternative School Thursday morning. Information posted by school  authorities on the District's Facebook page indicates the situation required staff to intervene and stop the student from hurting themselves. A firearm was involved in the incident but was not discharged. The student was disarmed without any injuries. Law enforcement, school administration, and counselors responded immediately and are providing continued support. District officials also say they want patrons to know all students and staff are safe and the school crisis plan was fully implemented with a lockdown which is no longer in effect. Classes at the Alternative Building have resumed. Stay tuned to KFMO B104 News for more information as it becomes available from the Fredericktown Schools.
