Burning in Spring Could Be Hazardous

(Bonne Terre, MO) Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say with our first of spring weather we'll have low humidity and breezy winds supporting an elevated fire danger meaning that outdoor fires may be more difficult to contain than usual. The Chief of the Big River Bonne Terre Fire Department, David Pratte, says you have to be extra cautious this time of year even it's just rained.

Pratte says it's also important to notify your local fire department in advance so they are aware you have a controlled burn in progress.
