Burns and Worley Public Safety Award

(Jefferson City, MO) Missouri Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe will confer Missouri Public Safety Medals to 18 first responders for heroic acts beyond the call of duty performed during 2022. Parkland Police Officers who will be awarded the Missouri Red, White, and Blue Heart award during the program include fallen Bonne Terre Police Officer Layne Burns, and his partner, Garrett Worley, who was seriously wounded in the ambush that took Burn's life. The ceremony is set for 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Headquarters offices at 1510 East Elm Street in Jefferson City.
