(Washington County, MO) A Cadet man, 28 year old Joseph S. Dibella, is free on bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Washington County Court today in connection to a case where he's charged with 5 felonies including assault and unlawful use of a weapon. According to reports Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a residence June 2nd in relation to a report of an altercation involving a firearm. It's alleged Dibella was intoxicated and was having an argument with a female when another man tried to intervene. It's said Dibella shoved and chased the man pushing two women out of the way and injuring them. Witnesses reported Dibella fired shots as the man was fleeing and was overheard to say he was going to shoot him. Dibella allegedly admitted to police he had fired shots in the air. Dibella is charged with one count of domestic assault in the 2nd degree, tow counts of assault in the 3rd degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated.
