Cadet Woman Injured in Wreck

(Washington County, MO) A Cadet woman, 61 year old Marie E. Wood, is recovering from serious injuries after she was hurt in a one car crash in Washington County Wednesday morning just after 8:30. Highway Patrol reports show Wood was driving west on Highway 8, near Folsom Road, when she failed to negotiate a left curve. The car ran off the left side of the road, into a ditch, and struck a mailbox. Wood, who was wearing a seat belt when the wreck took place, was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
