Changes Made to Desloge Municipal Court

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Changes have been made to how the Desloge Municipal Court functions.

Effective Saturday, June 1, all Desloge Municipal Court services, payments and questions have been moved to the Bonne Terre Municipal Court. Desloge City Administrator Stephanie Daffron says that after many changes to the Show Me Courts system, this was the best move.

Daffron adds with the changes made by Show Me Courts, the city can't have anything to do with the courts, including access to bank accounts, log-ins and administration. She said that the city has had a hard time filling the court clerk position, and Bonne Terre's Court Clerk Dawn Hendricks, who had been a clerk court for the City of Desloge, has been helping periodically.

Daffron explains that the City of Desloge will continue to pay the judge and prosecutor. The city will also pay the contract with the City of Bonne Terre, which is an annual ammount, that covers any expenses and extra work that Henricks has to take on.

She said that monthly court hearings will continue at the Desloge City Hall.

If you have any questions, you can contact Bonne Terre Municipal Court Clerk Dawn Hendricks at 573-358-2254 or stop by Bonne Terre City Hall, 118 North Allen Street in Bonne Terre.
