Chronic Disease Self-Management Class Offered by Extension Office

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The University of Missouri Extension Office is offering a six-week program targeting chronic disease self-management.

This is a free, virtual program for individuals living with one or more chronic conditions and their caregivers. The class addresses and is for those with different chronic illnesses such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, depression, heart disease, diabetes and more. The goal is to help individuals better manage their symptoms by learning important self-management skills and techniques such as action planning, healthy eating and communicating with their healthcare team.

The first online class is held Monday, August 12 from 10 a.m. till noon through Zoom, with each class being taught the week following.
