City Purchases Home for Demolition

(Farmington, MO) A residence on Bell Drive in Farmington is being purchased by the city for demolition. The decision was made at Monday night's Farmington City Council meeting and City Administrator, Greg Beavers, says the house has experienced excessive periodic flooding and the problem cannot be remediated.

Beavers adds they also approved an ordinance change on the height of residential electric meters making the meters easier to read and service. In other business at Monday's Farmington council approved a change in the chicken ordinance increasing the amount of hens a person can own within the city from 5 to 6 to satisfy the hen limit for Future Farmer's of America project regulations.
