Civey Has Trial Scheduled

(Potosi, MO) A trial is coming up for 24 year old Ethan Civey, one of the men charged in connection with the death of Mikayla Jones. According to reports a jury trial is set for November. Civey is charged with abandonment of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution, and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The other man charged in the case, 33 year old Andrew Franklin Pierce, was granted a change of venue to Ste. Genevieve county but no date has been set yet for a trial. Pierce faces charges of one count of abandonment of a corpse and three counts of Tampering with Evidence. Jones was reported missing May 7th of last year. Authorities thought she died of an accidental overdose. Her body was found dumped just off Highway M between Irondale and Caledonia.
