County Property Tax Rate Lowers

(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County Residents will be paying a slightly lower property tax rate after Tuesday's County Tax Levy public hearing held prior to the weekly commission meeting. St. Francois County 2nd District Commissioner, David Kater, says the State of Missouri gives counties the option to collect a rate of almost 32 cents per $100 assessed valuation but with the roll back, St. Francois County residents will pay much less.

In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting the purchase of a used road grader for the Road a Bridge department was approved and repairs to the roof of the Annex building were discussed.
