Jefferson County, Mo. (KFMO) - Jefferson County 911 dispatched crews at 8:45 a.m. Saturday to a fire at a large agricultural barn on Peter Moore Lane. While en route, firefighters confirmed a working fire. Upon arrival at 8:55 a.m., a volunteer firefighter and Duty Officer 5802 found a 140-by-84-foot barn with heavy smoke showing.

Incident command was established, and crews from Pumper-Tanker-Rescue 5814 and De Soto Fire Department's Pumper-Rescue 5710 initiated an interior fire attack. Hillsboro Fire Protection District Chief 6500 coordinated water supply operations.

The responding departments expressed gratitude to their mutual aid partners, including Valle Ambulance District, Hematite Fire Protection District, St. Clair Fire Protection District, Festus Fire Department, and Dunklin Fire Protection District, as well as Jefferson County 911 for their communication support throughout the incident.
